Lyons, Colorado
Lyons Valley Village is located in Lyons, Colorado, a serene yet vibrant mountain town located just north of Boulder, CO and 20 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park. The town is located at the entrance to both the north and South St Vrain Rivers. The town of Lyons is small, only 1.5 square miles, and sits at an elevation of 5,375 feet. Lyons was first established in 1880 by quarry workers and has grown to a population of over 1400 people. The amazing red sandstone is seen used in architecture throughout the town.
Music and art are an inherent part of the community culture in Lyons and Lyons is host to several bluegrass and jazz concerts throughout the year.
Lyons is part of the St. Vrain School System and boasts small class sizes and above average academic scores across the board. Lyons middle/senior school is walking distance from the community and the Elementary school is right in down town Lyons.
